Berry Protein Shake

This is one of my favorite recipes! Super yummy and super easy to make, especially when you make it with a single serving blender!

I buy “Whey Protein Isolate”. Whey Protein Isolate is whey protein, which is one of the proteins found in milk, that has been isolated out from the casein, lactose (sugar) and such also found in milk; so no unneeded expensive extras.

For this smoothie I highly recommend using 1/2 of a frozen very ripe banana as they can cut the protein powder taste and they help with the texture of the smoothie. I also recommend buying the bag of frozen, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries. It gives the smoothie that amazing dark color, showing that it is packed FULL of antioxidants.

Make sure to use ground flax seed as your body will have better access to the Omega 3 fats. Also be sure to store the ground flax seed in the freezer as it will help lengthen the shelf life of the flax seed providing you the opportunity to use the whole package. You could also look at substituting the flax seed for Chia seeds!


Berry Protein Shake

1 Serving

1 /2 cup frozen fruit, blueberries, or any other fruit
1 scoop whey protein isolate, unflavoured
1 cup milk no fat (0% mf) or Soy or Almond milk
1/2 medium banana, frozen
1 tbsp ground flaxseed


1. Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth.
2. Add water and/or ice until you reach desired consistency.

1 scoop of protein power = 2 tbsp
